These stoves are built with ¼” rounded bodies for the firebox. The round sides can contract and expand with the changes of temperature in the fire box., which reduces the chance of warping the fire box.  These stoves are designed to  use with no duck work or with cold air return ducts. Stoves designed for hot air ducts are the Natural Ductwork Stoves.  There is no need for a fan to move air! However if you decide you don’t trust natural gravity, there is no problem hooking up a fan to the unit. You will need to place your order with how you need to be set up.
